PUNCTUALITY:

- Everyone should be dressed and ready before class starts.

CLASS PROTOCOL:

- No sitting or lying down unless indicated;

- No sitting on seats (floor only);

- No eating;

- No complaining;

- No side chatter.

PARENTS WATCHING: You are welcome to sit in on classes, but you will need to be quiet! If you want to have a chat with friends, please do so on the deck outside. No videoing of classes, please; as a teacher, I find it very distracting. Still photos are fine.

EXAMS: I am registered as an NZAMD ballet teacher. I use the Pre-Grade Syllabus and Ballet Grade Syllabus, and students will sit their exams in June 2011. Exam-sitting is OPTIONAL, so if you or you child don't want to do it, they can still attend the classes. Pre-Grade 1 (for 5-year-olds) is done with the teacher in the room, and everyone is expected to simply have a good go at it in order to pass. Initial (for 7-year-olds) is the first graded exam, but it is pretty easy stuff! Read more here.

MUMS’ BALLET: This is more of an exercise/workout class - leotards and concert performances NOT necessary! Classes (45 minutes) are held on Tuesday evenings; let me know if you are interested. Read more here.
